Another year is almost at a close and the long summer school holidays have arrived – and one of the best things about the December and January break is that many working mums and dads also find some downtime to enjoy family activities together, or perhaps head out of town on a family holiday.
The festive season also brings with it a great number of family events – many of them FREE – because not only is the mood celebratory but generally the Aussie weather is perfect for heading outdoors.
We’ve put together another BUMPER state-by-state guide to what’s on and where these school holidays so why not enjoy some family togetherness at any one of the many Carols by Candlelight events found in suburban ovals and town parks across the country?
Our cities are lighting up for the holiday period with festooned trees, illuminations and entertainment giving us all a good excuse to take an early evening family outing into the action!
Summer is certainly upon us now with warm days (and nights) – and there is no shortage of family-friendly activities available across the country during the school holidays, whether you want to be outside in the sunshine or shady and cool indoors.
Check out what’s on near you during the summer school holidays in our bumper state-by-state guide. There are plenty of FREE, and affordable, outings, attractions and activities on offer for all ages and interests.
HAPPY HOLIDAYS from the Out & About with Kids team!
