The Murray River region of NSW has been inhabited by humans for over 40,000 years and is a haven for adventure and water activities. The mighty Murray River gives this region its character – a rich heritage, agricultural background and warm country charm, and the Murray region can be easily explored by car from Sydney, or fly into Albury.

Known for its citrus orchards and berry farms, the region is home to some of Australia’s largest stone and dried fruit industries. Thanks to the Murray River, it is also known for paddle steamers, houseboats, fishing, kayaking, waterskiing and – the legendary Murray Cod! The area is also home to a semi-desert, lakes, rivers, Red Gum forests, bushland, and national parks including the famous Mungo National Park.
