1. Giant three-storey water park
Kids love getting wet, and central to this resort is a giant water playground, with a lagoon pool, heated spa and two large Aqua Play attractions. The main water park is three storeys high and has myriad slides, water cannons and climbing frames, as well as a giant bucket that fills with 600 litres of water before emptying over guests in an enormous splash! The Junior Water Park is ideal for smaller guests, complete with a slippery slide, water cannons and a toddler’s paddling area with a gentle sloping beach entry.
2. 'Mini theme park' - Zone 4 Kids club
Children can search for buried treasure, explore the jungles of Asia and travel the galaxy with pedal-powered space buggies in one of the themed areas at Paradise Resort’s awesome kids’ club. The Resort is the only one in Australia with a kids’ club that is available to children as young as six weeks old, up to those aged 12.
Open daily, it also features a movie room, a maze and a colourful ball pit, with fun events and activities such as pyjama parties, disco nights, and arts and crafts.
With nine themed play spaces divided across age groups – Space Room, Captains Underwater World, Leonardo’s Painting Room, Egyptian Room, Astro’s Space Station, Dusty’s Safari, Krazy 4 Kraft, Magic Garden and Junior Adventure Park, the Zone 4 Kids Club is a surefire winner.
The older kids will love the Teen Club, which allows kids aged 13 to 17 to enjoy ice-skating, bingo and board games, and even win prizes.
3. Dusty's Safari Train
Choo choo! Hop on board for Dusty’s Safari Train Ride. Paradise Resort is the first Gold Coast accommodation provider to offer guests a trackless mini train.
Carrying 16 passengers, Dusty’s Safari Train Ride winds its way around the tropical resort gardens, entertaining both children and adults. The trackless, battery-operated train is powered by a silent electric motor for a smooth ride. Even better, it’s built with environmentally–friendly and recyclable materials.
4. Paradise Resort's friendly mascots
What other family holiday features four resident mascots, whose one job is to make your stay unforgettable?! Captain is a friendly, swashbuckling pirate who loves to sail the high seas, while Astro is an ‘Out of this World’ friend all the way from planet Bubbleton – he has a rocket backpack ‘and he ain’t afraid to fly it’. Cleo is a sparkling princess from a land far, far away who loves to dance and cook, so join her for cupcake decorating. Finally, Dusty is the adventure-loving mate from the Outback.

5. Planet Chill ice skating rink
After a long day of playing in the waterpark, cool down at Planet Chill, Surfers Paradise’s only ice-skating rink!
6. Fun and kid-friendly rooms
The resort has 359 rooms, all with balconies, and can cater for families with up to six children. The Bunkhouse rooms have brightly painted bunk beds, and interconnecting rooms are also available.
The refurbished wings are named after the Resort’s colourful mascots and characters: Captain’s Quarters, Cleo’s Castle, Astro’s Alley and Dusty’s Digs. Fun finishing touches include door numbers and room keys themed around each of the four characters.
7. Laser tag and rock climbing wall
From challenging your friends and family to a game of laser tag or challenging yourself with the rock-climbing wall – it’s impossible to get bored at Paradise Resort Gold Coast!
8. Pamper Parlour
Hair braiding is a highlight for kids on a Gold Coast holiday, and Paradise Resort recently opened a Pamper Parlour offering the service. There are a range of braid styles to choose from for different length hair, including Mermaid Braids, Unicorn Braids and Single Cornrow with colour extensions, and Dutch Braids without. Sessions can be booked online. The salon even features butterfly wall art for guests to take photos in front of, which they can post on social media.
