Treetop Walk
Suitable for all ages and fitness levels, we’re delighted to discover the gentle 1.5km walk through lush native rainforest is even pram friendly! The 500 metre-long, 25 metre-high elevated walkway provides unrivalled views of the unique beauty of the region’s flora and fauna, from the rainforest floor up into the towering heights of the treetops.
Noteworthy features include the multi-level canopy experience, 45-metre tall Knights Tower lookout and and the cantilever perched above the rainforest floor – a truly exhilarating experience as you gently sway with the canopy. You’ll also take in the awesome views of the Illawarra Escarpment and out to the Pacific Ocean.
It’s possible to do the Treetop Walk even if it’s raining – in fact, cool and drizzly weather even adds to the beauty as waves of mist curl up and over the trees, creating an otherworldly vibe.
Zipline Tour
You can also choose the Zipline Tour which will shoot you from platform to platform more than 30 metres above the ground. Included in the experience are suspension bridges, three flights, training from expert guides and info about the local ecosystems and history.
Enchanted Forest
During the school holidays, Illawarra Fly Treetop Adventures transforms into a magical fairy wonderland and children from all across the land are invited.
Fairy homes, which have been lovingly built by the team at Men’s Shed, will be scattered throughout the rainforest floor and it is your mission to help the fairies and elves living at Illawarra Fly to find their very own fairy home.
There are four fairy neighbourhoods to explore, each with corresponding activities. Kids can discover their ‘fairy star sign’ at Rainbow Ridge, create a magical story about the cheeky residents of Pixie Hollow, see the colourful gnome houses of Gnome Meadow and encounter the sirens of Mermaid Crescent. After completing the Treetop Walk, pick up a ribbon from the visitor centre and tie it to the wishing tree!
The Enchanted Forest is included in Treetop Walk admission tickets.

The latest addition to Illawarra Fly’s fantastic selection of kids’ activities, each experience includes an introductory session and safety talk, plus 30 minutes of fun on the archery range. Suitable for kids from eight years of age.
