Holiday Parks
G’Day Parks and Discovery Parks
Australia’s largest single owner of accommodation parks, with more than 200 properties around the country
In 2004, following a successful career in mergers and acquisitions in Sydney and London, G’day Group founder and CEO Grant Wilckens identified an opportunity to buy three caravan parks in Western Australia with two other investors. Now majority owned by Australian Retirement Trust, the G’day Group is the largest single owner and operator of accommodation parks in Australia, with more than 300 properties across the country. They include some of Australia’s most iconic resort properties, such as El Questro in the Kimberley and Kings Canyon in the Red Centre. Under the Discovery Parks brand, the company directly operates more than 85 parks, including cabins and camping sites.
Launched in late 2020, G’day Parks (formerly known as Top Parks) is the company’s network of 240-plus licensed holiday parks that are independently owned and operated but leverage the group’s buying power and marketing expertise. Wilckens is also the Chair of the Caravan Industry Association of Australia and board director of the South Australian Tourism Commission.
