School holidays are a great way to spend quality time having fun together as a family – and it doesn’t need to cost a fortune!
There are lots of free and inexpensive things to do in Sydney and we’ve rounded up just a few of them.
Jump on the free 555 shuttle bus that runs in a loop from Central Station to Circular Quay and enjoy the sights on your way to the sparkling harbour. Sydney has a lot to offer in walking distance from the Quay … including the Museum of Contemporary Art, the iconic Sydney Opera House, the blooming Royal Botanic Gardens and the Art Gallery of NSW.
Don’t forget Darling Harbour – there’s always something going on, from water fountains to movies, shops to the National Maritime Museum … you’ll find plenty to keep the whole family happy.
Why not check out the variety of weekend markets in the city and suburbs, or for the price of a ferry ticket, go island hopping and enjoy a picnic with one of the best views in the world!
Spring is the perfect time to explore the wonderful bush walks, from the inner harbour to the bush and waterways. Head to the Coogee Coastal Walk and look out for humpbacks as they migrate back down the coast.
