Crystalbrook Byron is an eco-friendly rainforest retreat
Set amongst 18ha of subtropical rainforest at Byron Bay, on the NSW North Coast, the Crystalbrook Collection Resort has a responsible travel ethos, with upcycled, recycled and locally sourced materials featuring throughout.
Around 80 per cent of all ingredients at its farm-to-table restaurant, Forest, which also has a kids’ menu, are sourced from within a three-hour drive.
The introduction of touch-free paperless check-in and checkout and in-room Apple iPad control centres has eliminated 90 per cent of printed collateral at the resort. Eléme Day Spa also offers bespoke facial and body therapies using the Sodashi skincare range featuring ethically sourced, natural ingredients.
Luxury suites for a Byron Bay nature escape
The refreshed guest suites, such as Rainforest Suite and Treetops Suite, have been named to reflect the resort’s setting. It has also extended its offering to include a two-bedroom Rainforest Luxe Suite and a two-bedroom Treetops Luxe Suite.
All suites have enclosed front and rear verandahs, rainforest showers, freestanding deep soak bathtubs and separate living areas, as well as kitchenettes, a combined washing machine and dryer, a four-seat dining table and a separate living area with an L-shaped lounge that converts to a sofa bed, plus air-conditioning, heating and free Wi-Fi.
As well as the main pool, there is a smaller, shallow pool that is perfect for littlies to splash around.
