Kid-friendly cruise holidays around the world
The cruise industry has bounced back bigger and better than ever, and with innovative hygiene measures in place, cruise lines have made the necessary changes to ensure Australians can once again enjoy a holiday at sea.
Today’s cruise ships are like all-inclusive resorts with cool facilities from swimming pools, slides and water play areas to ice-skating rinks, mini-golf, rock-climbing, movies and day spas. And then there are the kids clubs, to keep the young ones, from tot to teen, entertained with age-appropriate activities while grown-ups do their own thing.Â
Best of all most of the costs are included in the base price of your cruise so budgeting is easier. Once on board you only need to unpack once even though your view changes every day, to spectacular effect.
Cruising opens up a vast array of different destinations to explore with your family! Here are some of our favourites.Â
Cruise holidays in the Americas
Florida is the main point of departure for cruises to The Caribbean, with Port Canaveral and Miami major shipping hubs for the Bahamas, plus Eastern or Western Caribbean or Yucatan Peninsula. You can cruise down the Pacific Coast to Mexico or to Hawai’i from Los Angeles, or north from Seattle up to the glaciers and wilderness of Alaska.
Cruise from New York City and sail past the Statue of Liberty on the way up to New England or Canada, or do the short hop out to Bermuda. For something different, board an old time paddle steamer in New Orleans or Memphis and steam down the mighty Mississippi, discovering the America of yesteryear. You can even take to the seas with Mickey & Minnie on on a Disney Cruise.Â
