8 Reasons to Stay in Paradise

Meet the characters at Paradise Resort on the Gold Coast

Described as a mini-theme park or a cruise ship on land, Paradise Resort Gold Coast is heaven for kids and parents alike. Here are eight reasons to book a stay (like you need them…)

1. THE LOBBY

No, you’re not seeing things – that’s a jungle gym in the lobby! Your holiday can start immediately as the kids cavort on the multi-level climbing frame and mazes of Dusty’s Jungle Gym while you’re checking in.

2. ZONE 4 KIDS CLUB

With nine themed play spaces divided across age groups – Space Room, Captains Underwater World, Leonardo’s Painting Room, Egyptian Room, Astro’s Space Station, Dusty’s Safari, Krazy 4 Kraft, Magic Garden and Junior Adventure Park, the Zone 4 Kids Club is a surefire winner.

3. ACTIVITIES IN ABUNDANCE

From slime making and cupcake decorating workshops to plaster art and sand art, magic shows, fancy dress parades and movie nights, the daily activities will keep the littlies VERY busy.

4. LOTS OF ACCOMMODATION OPTIONS

The resort has 359 rooms, all with balconies, and can cater for families with up to six children. The Bunkhouse rooms have brightly painted bunk beds, and interconnecting rooms are also available.

5. UNREAL FACILITIES

Kids LOVE getting wet, and central to this resort is a giant water playground, with a lagoon pool, heated spa and two large Aqua Play attractions. The main water park is three storeys high and has myriad slides, water cannons and climbing frames, as well as a giant bucket that fills with 600 litres of water before emptying over guests in an enormous splash! The Junior Water Park is ideal for smaller guests, complete with a slippery slide, water cannons and a toddler’s paddling area with a gentle sloping beach entry. The resort also has a rock-climbing wall and its own ice-skating rink, Planet Chill, which offers daily lessons.

6. ADULT ESCAPES

Relaxing by the pool at Paradise Resort Gold Coast

With most accommodation packages including a complimentary kids’ club session each day, there’s time for adults to indulge in the ‘Zone 4 Adults’. Relax in the outdoor spa area, which has lounge chairs and cabanas ideal for reading. There’s also cocktail-making classes, wine and cheese tastings, cooking demonstrations and karaoke.

7. MEALTIMES ARE EASY

The Poolside Cafe at Paradise Resort Gold Coast

Head to ‘50s-style diner The Bistro for casual and relaxed family dining for breakfast and dinner. It’s the kind of place where they bring children’s meals out first, before you even ask! The costumed staff are happy to offer extra winks and smiles at tiny diners, and Popeye cartoons play in the background. The mural on the wall says it all: “Some of the best conversations are had with family over a meal”. For kids who don’t want to get out of the water for more than a few minutes, The Poolside Café & Bar is also a great option for breakfast, lunch and dinner. You can also kickstart your day with a fresh juice or smoothie from the Poolside Juice Bar, and a barbecue night is held by the pool every Wednesday night.

8. IDEAL LOCATION
