From hobbit-inspired kids’ clubs to thrilling adventure parks, the popular resort city of Pattaya has some excellent family hotels and resorts.
Around 100km south-east of Bangkok, Pattaya is a fun and accessible destination for a Thailand holiday with kids. Here are four of the best places to stay:

1. Centara Grand Mirage Beach Resort Pattaya

With a colourful water park, outdoor adventure park and a kids’ cinema, there’s loads to keep young ones entertained at the five-star Centara Grand Mirage Beach Resort Pattaya. Set on a beautiful private beach, families can float through the resort on a series of lazy rivers, complete with waterfalls and slides.
Get the adrenaline pumping soaring through the air on the SkyRider zipline in The Lost World Adventure Land, and navigating your way across obstacle courses in the sky at SkyTrail. There’s also a three-level playground with slides, a trampoline zone, a raft game, and even a digging pit where young archaeologists can excavate dinosaur bones!
Inside, you’ll find an arts and crafts area and The Cave, which has wooden toys, a soft-play kids’ cinema screening age-appropriate films, and a giant, soft LEGO set. And every room has ocean views to boot! There’s also two kids’ clubs and a family club lounge, as well as an adults-only one, so families can benefit from a club floor upgrade if they so choose.
2. Centara Life Maris Resort Jomtien

Thailand’s first hobbit-themed kids’ club, a teen-focused entertainment zone and animation programs make the fun and funky Centara Life Maris Resort Jomtein ideal for families with kids of all ages. The four-star resort has a recreation area by the pool, which has a waterfall feature, waterslides and a water playground.
Its ground floor restaurant MIX offers a range of international cuisines in a relaxing alfresco setting, or you can dine in air-conditioned comfort. You can also dine outside by the pool at Coco & Rum and order a drink at the swim-up bar, Reflection Bar.
There are a range of room-types to choose from, including Family rooms with furnished balconies and day beds and Family suites with a king-sized bed in one room and bunk beds in the other, plus a gym and a sCense by SPA Cenvaree.
3. Centara Pattaya Hotel

A large pool with a swim-up bar helps make the Centara Pattaya Hotel an enticing option for families. There are 152 rooms and suites designed with clean lines and plenty of natural light. Most rooms overlook the pool and can comfortably accommodate up to two adults and two children.
Start the day with MIX Bistro’s buffet breakfast in air-conditioned comfort, or enjoy the tropical vibe outside on the terrace. Later, enjoy fresh seafood, Thai classics, burgers, salads and vegetarian fare. The hotel also has a well-equipped gym and a spa.
5. Centara Nova Hotel Pattaya

With a swim-up bar for parents and a children’s pool for the kids, Centara Nova Hotel Pattaya is another great option for families. Just minutes away from Pattaya Beach and a short drive to Phratamnak Beach and Jomtien Beach, the great value hotel has 79 rooms and suites.
Each has a furnished balcony overlooking the pool. There are two room types to choose from. The Deluxe Pool View Room has either a king-sized bed or twin beds, suitable for two adults and one child. The Deluxe Pool View Suite has a king-sized bed and a separate lounge and is suitable for up to two adults and two children.
